1985

The Prime Minister, Andreas George Papandreou, inaugurated and christened the Stadium, giving it the name "STADIO OF PEACE AND PEACE" on 16 February 1985 at the start of the 1st Panhellenic Indoor Athletics Championship. In March 1985, the first major sporting event, the European Indoor Athletics Championships, known as the EPA'85, was hosted at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

The European Champions Cup final between Cibona Zagreb and Real Madrid took place, with the Yugoslavs, led by Drazen Petrovic, defeating Madrid 87-78.

1986

In the final of the Volleyball Cup Winners Cup held at S.E.F., the Italian team Modena won 3-0 set against Steaua Bucharest from Romania and won the trophy.

In 1986 the European Wrestling Championship was held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium

1987

The final phase of the EuroBasket was held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium with Greece winning the trophy, after defeating the Soviet Union 103-101 in the final.

In 1988 the Wrestling World Cup was held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium

1988

In March 1988, the Cup Winners' Cup Final between Real Madrid and Sneijdero Caserta was held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium. Madrid, led by Drazen Petrovic who scored 62 points, beat the Italians in overtime 117-113.

1989

In 1989, the Peace and Friendship Stadium hosted the final of the Volleyball Champions Cup between CSKA Moscow and Panini Modena, with the Russians winning 3-1.

1990

In May 1990, the European Gymnastics Championships were held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

1991

The World Championship of Rhythmic Gymnastics was hosted at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in October 1991

1992

The Final 4 of the Volleyball Champions Cup was hosted at the Peace and Friendship Stadium with Olympiacos in a packed SEF, eliminating the mighty CSKA in the semifinal, but losing in the final to the also mighty Mesagero Ravenna.

1993

In March 1993 the Peace and Friendship Stadium hosted for the second consecutive time the Final4 of the Volleyball Champions Cup. Olympiacos won the 3rd place.

1993

The Peace and Friendship Stadium was the venue for the Final 4 of the Basketball Champions Cup in April 1993 with the participation of PAOK. They lost in the semi-final to Benetton, but in the minor final they beat Real Madrid and won the 3rd place.

1994

In October 1994, the Men's World Volleyball Championships were held at S.E.F. Italy defeated the Netherlands in the final with a 3-1 set victory and won the trophy for the second time.

1995

The European Volleyball Championships were held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, with Italy defeating the Netherlands 3-2 in the final.

1996

In March 1996 Olympiacos won the Cup Winners' Cup at the Final 4 held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, after defeating Bayer Wuppertal in the final with a 3-2 set.

1998

In August 1998, the quarter-finals of the World Basketball Championship were held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

1999

In 1999 the World Wrestling Championship was held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium

1999

The 1999 World Weightlifting Championships were held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

2004

In the 2004 Olympic Games, the volleyball event was held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

2005

In 2005 the Final 4 of the Top Teams Cup was held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, with Olympiacos defeating Ortek Noceland in the final with a 3-0 set and winning its second European title.

2018

In the CEV Challenge Cup final that took place at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in April 2018, Ravenna defeated Olympiacos 3-1 and won the trophy.
